Nothing Ear 3 arrives with Super Mic and talk button for clear calls

Nothing has expanded its audio lineup with the launch of the Ear 3 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds. The latest model carries the company’s trademark transparent design while adding new hardware focused on improved voice clarity and environmental noise control.

The highlight of the Ear 3 is the addition of a dedicated talk button on the charging case. Once pressed, it activates what Nothing calls a “Super Mic,” designed to reduce background noise even in busy or windy conditions. The system uses ambient-filtering technology and is rated to suppress up to 95 dB of surrounding sounds, ensuring clear call quality. The same button can also be used to capture recordings directly through the case.

Each bud houses a 12mm driver with support for high-resolution audio, LDAC, and a wider sound profile. Nothing claims up to 6 dB enhanced bass and 4 dB treble boost. The earbuds are also equipped with Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC) up to 45 dB, allowing users to cut external sound during playback.

The case is manufactured from recycled aluminum and retains a compact build. Power is delivered by a 55mAh cell in each earbud, supporting up to 10 hours of continuous use. Together with the case, total playback time reaches 38 hours. Fast charging through USB-C can deliver 10 hours of listening in about 10 minutes, and wireless charging support is included.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC, along with Google Fast Pair for Android, Microsoft Swift Pair for Windows, and pairing compatibility for iOS devices.

The Nothing Ear 3 is priced at $179 in the United States. Sales in select global markets begin September 25, while pricing and availability in India will be confirmed later.
